It was only a matter of time before mobile internet use surpassed desktop, so mark your calendars because on November 1st 2016, StatCounter issued a press release<\/a>\u00a0stating that\u00a0smartphones and tablets accounted for 51.3% of the worldwide consumption of internet, where desktop only accounted for 48.7% during the month of October.<\/p>\n

For more than a year now, us web designers have been creating mobile versions<\/a> of websites to account for the high volume of mobile traffic that websites have been getting. \u00a0Well to be fair, we also wanted to avoid penalties from Google! \u00a0In a blog directly from Google<\/a>\u00a0earlier this year, they clearly let their intentions be understood by flat-out saying they’re trying to make the web more mobile friendly. \u00a0Once again, there’s no way of sugar-coating it, mobile is present and future of digital marketing! \u00a0StatCounter CEO, Aodhan Cullen sums it up perfectly:<\/p>\n
