Retirement planning that addresses what truly matters in your life
In our opinion retirement isn’t just about money—it’s about life after work. That’s why we created the Paladin Retirement Roadmap, our proprietary planning methodology that addresses many aspects of your transition into retirement, not just your investment portfolio.
While some financial advisors focus exclusively on investment returns and account balances, we’ve learned through 17 years of serving Bucks County families that we believe successful retirement requires planning for four critical areas: Family, Occupation, Recreation, and Money. We call this our FORM methodology, and we believe it’s what sets our retirement planning apart from everyone else.
Some people work with advisors who ask about their “number”—how much money they need to retire. They’ll run Monte Carlo simulations, show you portfolio projections, and tell you whether you can afford to retire based purely on financial calculations.
But we’ve seen some families who had “enough money” on paper yet struggled in retirement because they hadn’t planned for the non-financial aspects of life after work. They felt purposeless without their career identity. They didn’t know how to fill their days. Their relationships suffered. They had money but not fulfillment.
That’s the problem we set out to solve with the Paladin Retirement Roadmap.

Besides God, family is the most important thing in life. In our opinion, your retirement plan should strengthen your family relationships, not strain them. We try to help you plan around the people who matter most.
What We Address
We try to help ensure both partners are aligned on retirement timing, spending, and goals
Supporting adult children while helping to protect your own retirement security
Creating opportunities to invest in their future without potentially jeopardizing yours
Determining what you want to leave behind and for whom
Planning for aging parents or special needs family members
Facilitating important family conversations about money and inheritance
We worked with a couple where the husband was ready to retire but the wife wanted to work three more years. Traditional retirement planning would have forced them to choose one path. Instead, we created a strategy where he could retire immediately while her continued income funded lifestyle expenses, allowing their investments to grow untouched for three more years. Both got what they wanted. Their relationship strengthened because we planned around their family needs.
Work should be a choice, not a necessity. Our goal is to make you occupationally optional—able to work because you love it, not because you need the paycheck.
What We Address
A Big Pharma executive came to us facing the lump sum versus pension decision. We showed him that taking 74% of his lump sum could create the same lifetime income as his pension with inflation protection, while the remaining 26% could grow for future needs. He became occupationally optional at age 58 instead of working to age 65.

Retirement should be the most fulfilling phase of your life. We help you plan for the hobbies, travel, volunteer work, and activities you’ve been postponing during your working years.
What We Address
Key Questions We Explore
One client told us his dream was to restore classic cars, something he’d never had time for during his 40-year career. We built that into his retirement budget, allocating $15,000 annually for his hobby. Three years into retirement, his workshop is full of projects, he’s made new friends in the classic car community, and he wakes up excited every day. That’s what recreation planning accomplishes.
Money is what makes everything else possible. We create comprehensive financial strategies that generate reliable income, protect your assets, minimize taxes, and ensure your money lasts your entire life.
What We Address
In our first meeting, we explore all four FORM areas with you. We don't just collect financial statements—we get to know you as people. What matters to you? What are your concerns? What do you dream about for retirement?
This comprehensive discovery ensures we're planning for your life, not just your money.
We analyze how the four FORM areas interact in your specific situation. Does your desire to help your grandchildren conflict with your long-term care protection? Does your spouse's continued employment affect your Social Security claiming strategy? Does your volunteer goal require additional income planning?
We identify these connections and potential conflicts so we can address them proactively.
Based on what we've learned, we create your customized Paladin Retirement Roadmap—a comprehensive strategy that addresses all four areas and shows you appropriately how to transition into retirement.
We help you implement many aspects of your roadmap, coordinating all the moving pieces so things don't fall through the cracks. Accounts are opened, beneficiaries are updated, insurance is applied, and your complete plan comes together seamlessly.
Life doesn't stand still, and neither should your retirement plan. We meet with you regularly to review your roadmap, adjust strategies as circumstances change, and work to ensure nothing is overlooked while all pieces of your financial strategy work together.
We're planning for your entire life after work, not just managing your investment accounts. Family, occupation, recreation, and money all receive equal attention in our process.
Your roadmap is uniquely yours, built around your specific goals, concerns, and circumstances. We don't use one-size-fits-all templates or generic recommendations.
We address forces that could impact your retirement success. Our goal is to leave nothing overlooked and have all pieces of the financial strategies working together.
We explain key aspects of your plan in plain language you can understand. Your roadmap should make sense to you, and we hope you'll feel confident in the path forward.
